 Psalm 121:1-2
What did you want to be when you grew up?:
I can’t remember!
Why did you choose to be involved with WGM?:  I loved hearing about what God was doing around the world at Global Café.
 What "luxury item" do you take with you on any mission trip?: Digital Camera, with plenty of memory (I took 1,300 pictures on my last trip!) and my pillow.
What's the strangest thing you've eaten on the mission field?:
I'm not sure what it was called, but in Mexico I ate this weird fruit about the size of a large grape. It was green, and I had to peel the skin off. Under the skin is a very slimy layer. You just pop the fruit in your mouth and suck the slime off. Beneath the slime is a very big pit that you just spit out.
What words of advice would you give someone who is about to depart on their first missions experience?:   Check your bag for scorpions before you come home (I brought one home from Mexico!) Don't worry about finances; God will provide. Expect Him to do anything on your trip, and expect to come home changed. Even if you don't speak the language, you'll find a way to communicate with the people.

1
I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?

 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

 3 He will not let your foot slip—  he who watches over you will not slumber;

 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

 5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;

 8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
