Cabinet Retreat 2002
September 6 & 7

Cabinet Retreat this year took us to Nathan's childhood home
in the woods of central Ohio. The weather was perfect for camping
outdoors. Some of us slept in tents, others were on tarps, and some
thought it would be fun to sleep on the trampoline! Come morning after a
breakfast of french toast sticks and eggs, we headed to an old rock quarry for
some devotions and good ol' brainstorming. Discussion continued over lunch
and soon we were finished with the business portion of the weekend. Next
came the fun! Several cabinet members had an opportunity to learn or
refresh their water-skiing technique on Buckeye Lake. Others enjoyed
staying cool with some water games in the lake. We didn't stop until
sunset when we docked the boat and scarfed down a supper of Papa John's
pizza. Back at the Waggoners', we "chilled" in the basement
sharing fun stories over bowls of ice cream. It was a full day and a
memorable weekend!
