Spring Break 2007 with WGM

Mexico at a Glance
  • Mexico has a population of more than 103 million and is larger than the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas combined.  It’s climate ranges from tropical in the lowlands to deserts in the north.

  • WGM missionaries are currently located in Saltillo, León, and Irapuato, Mexico.  Some are also ministering in McAllen, TX (6 miles from the Mexico border).

Documents No passport is required for traveling to Mexico.  However, you will need your original birth certificate and some form of identification (driver’s license) when checking in at the airline counter.

At the first team meeting you will receive a Field Travel Agreement form.  Please read, sign, and return it to your team leader as soon as possible. You will not be permitted to travel with the team without signing this form.

Cost

A deposit of $100 (nonrefundable) will assure your place on this team.  The current cost estimate of $1,159 should be received no later than March 10, 2007.  This includes tax, tip, food, lodging, insurance, project money, and airfare from Lexington, Kentucky.   A tax-deductible receipt will be issued by WGM for the contributions provided for your trip.  Cancellation after ticketing will require you to cover the ticket cost and penalty charge from the airline.

Immunizations

There are no required inoculations, but we strongly recommend that you secure a tetanus vaccination.  These should be completed one month prior to departure and recorded in a yellow International Certificate of Vaccination booklet or in a letter from the medical clinic that gave you the inoculations.
