Hello family
and friends,
Although
this is supposed to be the beginning of the dry
season, it rained most of the night last night.
That made for a very comfortable sleep and a
pretty muddy worksite this morning. So muddy in
fact that the
Bennetts decided to show us the town this
morning and cover some cultural orientation this
afternoon. I think we as a team were secretly
very relieved that we didn’t have any major work
to do today as we were still pretty tired from
the trip. We are much more rested now, and are
looking forward to tomorrow.
This evening
we did some planning for the youth services we
will be doing next week, and had a ‘real’
missions experience – the power went out. It
has been going on and off for a good part of
this evening, but thanks to our flashlights, we
still have been productive and are looking
forward to the youth events. The picture below
is one of us looking up passages in the dark
about sowing and growth and harvest which is our
theme for the services.
Tomorrow we
will be doing some landscaping at the Bible
College to help direct the water run-off away
from the buildings. It will involve a lot of
digging, but with the extra rest from today, we
are ready!
Thanks for
your prayers!
Nathan (for
the team)
