Api-nun,
I am pleased to
report that Wednesday
(yesterday for us by the
time you are reading this)
was an excellent day. In
the morning the discussions
with both the men and the
women were very successful.
The men completely bought
into the concept of loving
their wives like Christ
loves the church. And the
women were able to see that
the Bible really does
address them and speak to
them. Thank you so much for
all the prayers that you
prayed for this time; they
were felt and had a definite
impact. God truly is
amazing.
At five we held
the first of four youth
services. We performed
some skits, sang songs and
taught them motions, and
then Lisette and Stephanie
gave the message. The youth
services are focusing on
growth. The parable of the
different soils was the
focus for this night and
through it the plan of
salvation was given. God
definitely moved as six
people came to the alter,
and afterwards one of the
Bible College students told
Dianne with tears that she
finally saw that “God is a
God of the bush people!” It
is amazing to see lives
being impacted like this.
Please be in prayer for the
rest of these services.
Nathan will give the next
message, which will be on
reaping what you sow.
In other news,
as I am typing this email
the State of Origin Game is
going on. This is a rugby
match between Australia’s
biggest rivals, the Blues
and the Maroons. The people
here really get into it and
cheers can be heard from
near and far. I think I may
head off now and go check it
out.
Mark speaking for the rest
of the team
P.S. Despite what you will
read below, the picture
above actually shows the
radiant sun of PNG.
We let Mark control the
camera today and this is the
best picture we have.
Nathan is taking it back
tomorrow.
