Dear Friends and Family,
Today was another
full day down here in
PNG. We began today with
breakfast as usual here
at the Mission Guest
House. We actually had
fellow Americans at the
table with us—a team of
engineering students
from Baylor Univeristy
will be in Mount Hagen
for a few days before
they leave for some more
remote villages to set
up hydro-generators. We
attended the worship
service this morning at
the Mount Hagen Church
the Bennetts are a part
of. Nathan preached
while we led some of the
music. Several (actually
more than several)
groups from the church
also shared special
music and led some more
singing. It was a
wonderful service—the
people from the church
really responded to the
message.
The Bennetts took us
out to eat for lunch at
the Mount Hagen Club and
we returned to the
mission guest house for
an afternoon of rest.
This evening we had
another great evening of
games and fellowship at
the Bennett’s. All in
all, we had a very
relaxing day in
preparation for our last
week here. We are
looking forward to
making more progress on
the latrine tomorrow, so
be in prayer for our
strength and energy. The
Bennetts all seem to
have recovered from
their bouts with colds
and bronchitis, and
Stephanie is completely
over her parasites, and
we praise God for that.
We also praise God
for the wonderful
weekend and the amazing
response we had to our
youth camp services.
These last few days have
been both honoring and
humbling for our team
and we thank you for
your prayers and
support.
Love, Lisette and the
PNG team
