Hello Everyone!
Things are still
good. Yes, that is
us in the hole. We
are at 11 feet! The
team worked hard
today. It started
out by bailing water
from the hole since
it had rained over
the weekend. I (Meg)
stayed for the
morning and helped
the Bennetts by
entering some data
into the computer
for them. A mindless
task that just takes
time. The afternoon
was again
productive. Everyone
worked hard. We got
4 feet dug today,
and are optimistic
that we will get the
last five tomorrow.
Joshua helped us
again today. The
highlight of the day
was all of us
climbing out without
the ladder. The
ladder was pulled up
and we worked
together as a team
to help each other
get out. We made a
pyramid and Nathan
climbed it to get
out first. He then
helped pull people
up. Meg went next
followed by Joshua.
Then
Bethany followed by
Lisette. Steph got
on Mark’s shoulders
and was able to get
out. Mark was then
our sole teammate in
the hole. Nathan
laid down with
Bethany on his legs.
He could reach
Mark’s hands. So he
pulled Mark up just
enough for Steph and
Joshua to grab his
arms and pull him
out the rest of the
way. I was on the
other side of the
hole getting the
whole thing with the
camera. Talk about
teamwork.

In the evening we
played games with
the Bennetts again.
They are such
wonderful hosts!
They taught us a
game with dice and
then we played the
card game Scum. It
was a good way to
end a hard day off
work. Well, we are
off to bed because
we have a full day
ahead of us
tomorrow.
Love and Prayers,
Meg for the PNG team
