Dear
Everyone,
Hello from Ukraine! Today is Friday May 16th and we have just
finished a busy but relaxing day. This morning the team drove over
to the Home of Hope and finished scraping and cleaning the floors in the
part of the building that is going to be the youth center. After
we finished that, we started painting the floors a wonderful shade of
rust brown. Amazingly enough, through hard work and dedication, we
finished both floors before lunch at one. In the afternoon, Cydil
and Robert, a guy who is working with Ernie and Anna this summer, went
to the orphanage with Jo Gettinger, the VIA also working with Ernie and
Anna. They had a fun time running after the kids, playing elbow
tag, and reading to them. Anastasia, Joanna, Heather, and Jennifer
stayed at Ernie and Anna's house while Cydil, Robert, and Jo were gone
and caught up on needed sleep, reading, and sitting.
Tomorrow
Ernie is going to take the team to the market in the center of town to
look around and buy some stuff. Also Jo, Robert, Bill, a man
who is working in the youth center, and the girls are going to
go to the beach for a picnic around lunchtime. It will
be a fun time just getting to see more of the city.
