| Привет! This is "Hello" in
Russian! We just finished practicing our skit for tomorrow and had prayer
time. Today we had a nice relaxing day! We went to the clothes market this
morning where we saw tons of people! It was a lot of fun! It seemed like
they had everything there. We also walked through a park and went to the
sea. We took several pictures (maybe you've seen some already). One of our
new favorite things to do is to take pictures with Lenin (statues) and his
many many poses throughout the land. We were surprised at first at how
many there actually were. But our goal is to get a picture with every
single one with every single pose. We will show you pictures when we get
home. It creates a lot of good humor for hours. We then went home and
packed a picnic lunch for the beach. It was a short but bumpy ride to the
shore. We couldn't decide if it was the road or Bill's (you'll hear plenty
more stories about him) driving. We found a flat but grassy hillside and
we ate a scrumptious meal there. Then Heather, Anastasia, Jennifer, Katie
(one of Jo's friends), Jo, and Bill threw the football along the water's
shore. Cydil and Joanna sat on the grassy knoll and read and slept. What a
relaxing afternoon soaking in the Ukrainian sunshine and the wonders of
God's creation. On a little sad note, the water here has been turned off
throughout the city. We are now officially roughing it. Two and a half
days with 7 girls and 1 man with no showers is not a pretty sight. Feels
like we are traveling again. But we actually have plenty of clean water
but we do have to pour a bucket of water down the toilet to flush it.
Luckily we don't have to use the out house. Well, not yet at least. :) If
you haven't caught on yet, we are having a marvelous time! Know that we
are praying for you halfway around the world! Isn't that cool? Well, we
need to go and get some rest. We have two church services tomorrow that
last around two hours each. Our first Sunday here should prove to be
awesome! We're very excited! Hope everything is going well at home. Know
that we miss you and think of you often! We love you! Thanks for your
prayers!
