Hello all,

We're still having a great time.  Let's see.  This morning we went to the Center to continue our work.  We've been scraping paint and wall paper in the entry room to the two youth center rooms.  Scraping is almost as fun as those spelling tests in elementary school, but we're getting on well.  Actually, it really isn't that bad, and we're really not complaining.  But I'm beginning to think the five of us working together could have fun doing anything.  So we did that until about 12:30, when we left for lunch.  Unfortunately, though, Bill had to go to the staff meeting while we were working (which he was real thrilled about), so we didn't get our 11:00 ice cream break.  We were kind of bummed about that.  However, it did make us very prepared for lunch.  And boy was it good!!!  Meat loaf, corn, wonderful potatoes, bread (my favorite, as everyone is learning), a Russian spring salad thing, and for desert some kind of...hmmm...I don't know what it was, but it was really good.  So we're suffering for Jesus.  Anna and the helpers are such wonderful cooks!  I think we had about 15 in for lunch today.  At about 3:00 we went back to the Center.  Joanna and Jennifer went to the beginning English class with Jo.  Anastasia, Cydil, and I went with Bill to the youth center.  I think we all had fun.  At about 7:15 we went to catch a bus so we could walk (a reasonable distance) back here to the house.  Dinner was also really good.  I'm telling you, Anna can make bologna sandwiches taste like a thousand dollars.  Birthdays here are a really big thing, so we celebrated Larissa's birthday (she helps with the house work) at dinner.  A couple of cakes were bought and the appropriate amount of candles were put in.  We got to learn a little about her and where she came from.  So that was fun and interesting.  Since Ernie had to go to Kiev this afternoon for a board meeting at the Bible college (which you can pray for--I think there is some worry that it might get closed down, but we really weren't told the details--just pray), we females have the house all to ourselves.  And this house has become an estrogen vortex!  So we're still having a great time.  I think we all get on together really well.  We're constantly laughing and carrying on like we've known each other for years, even though we only met a few months ago.  But continue to pray for us, Ernie and Anna, the Churches here, God's work here, the Bible college, whatever comes to mind, etc.  Well, I think those are all the note worthy things of the day.  Someone will talk to you tomorrow!!!
