Wednesday, May 21

Hello everyone!!!
Here we are again, another day has gone by.  It is amazing how quickly the time is going.  Today is Wednesday, May 21 and it is about 10:00 pm here.  Today we worked in the center again and we got to paint the walls in the first room of the youth center!  It was very exciting.  Surprisingly, Ernie and Bill let five girls pick out the color of the paint.  We choose a warm, flower-like yellow for the top part of the wall and a orange/pink/peach color for the bottom part of the wall. The name for the bottom color of the wall is still being debated if you couldn't tell by the three possible choices.  After painting, which really brightens up the room in my opinion, we drove back to Anna and Ernie's for lunch.  After lunch, Joanna, Anastasia, Cydil and Bill went back to the youth center to do some decorative painting on the beautiful newly painted walls.  However, it seems, although I am not an eye witness, that this did not turn out the way that they wanted and somehow they ended up with gray paint instead of purple and had to go to the store to buy more paint.  However, the store did not have purple paint so they had to go with a dark blue color.  However all was not lost because they still got to paint but just with a different color.  I have not seen it yet but I am sure that it is very beautiful.  While this was occurring, Jennifer, Jo, Heather, and Robert went to the orphanage across town.  This was Jennifer and Heather's first time going and they both enjoyed it immensely and Heather came away with a good story but we will let her tell that when she gets home.  So that was another exciting day in Ukraine.  I have no clue what we are doing tomorrow otherwise I would give you some information to look forward too.  We miss you all immensely and love you!  Have a wonderful Thursday!
